Gainesville Buckeye: Chris Watkins Photography
I had such a wonderful time photographing Dayna, her mother and her son at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens here in Gainesville. We spent an hour walking the grounds of Kanapaha Botanical Gardens allowing us to choose from a plethora of diverse and unique settings for our family portrait session. Dayna, her mother and her son are a beautiful family and very photogenic, as I quickly discovered. This turned out to be one of my most enjoyable family photo sessions that I have photographed recently and it was a real pleasure to photograph the Clifford family.
One thing that you should know about Dayna is that she is a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan and it was just our luck that as we strolled through the grounds of Kanapaha Botanical Gardens that we found a buckeye tree and that she found a lucky buckeye. This turned into a great photo opportunity allowing me to incorporate something that the whole family is very passionate about into our photo shoot. Its elements like this that allow me to personalize a family portrait session and bring out the most genuine emotions in my subjects. Who knew that we even had a buckeye tree in Gainesville?
As a Gainesville portrait photographer, Kanapaha Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite locations to photograph. Everywhere that you look, there is a spectacular backdrop to photograph against, and the best part about being a Gainesville portrait photographer, or even a Gainesville wedding photographer who loves to photograph my clients at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens is that it looks spectacular any time of year that you choose to visit.
