A beautiful wedding, a beautiful bride, a lifelong friend and an awesome venue!
The first time that I met Tiebout he was about 4-years-old and came tearing down my grandparents driveway on his little Batman bicycle. I knew that my grandfather said that this kid was something else, but when your 7 or 8 years old and this little fella comes screaming down the driveway like a tornado of charisma to shake your hand, its a memorable experience.
Tiebout and his two brothers grew up across the street from my grandparents house in Gainesville, Fl. Tiebout was the first person that I met when I moved to Gainesville from North Carolina, so when he told me that he was getting married I knew that I had to shoot his wedding. Then when he told me that he was getting married in a barn, needless to say I was a little concerned. But his fiancé Becky is a wedding planner from Tallahassee, so I figured that she knew what she was doing. Then Tiebout said that he helped make all of the tables that would be at the reception, I wasn’t really sure what to think.
I know that Tiebout has good taste because he chose Becky, but Becky has incredible taste because she chose the wedding venue. I said that they were getting married in a barn, but when I arrived at the barn, it took my breath away. The Barn House is not like any other barn that you have ever seen, infant it was quite the opposite from what I had pictured in my mind.
You could have not asked for a more beautiful day to have a wedding especially for such a wonderful couple. Becky looked stunning in her flowing white dress, standing at the alter framed by two majestic oak trees. Now I don’t know if they planned this wedding to make stunning photographs, but as a photographer the light couldn’t have been better.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful and the reception was off the chain. The Wedding Barn had a very impressive setup including the 19 farm tables that Tiebout made and a southern style dinner. It also had a giant jenga puzzle and the entire venue was framed with strings of white lights. Im sure that for Becky and Tiebout the whole experience was surreal. It certainly was a beautiful wedding.
