Gainesville Fashion Photography :UF
Fashion photography in the Gator nation
This was a really cool assignment, we got to go to the photo studio at the Gainesville Sun to shoot in a real studio and shoot fashion. We not only had great lighting equipment but we also had a beautiful model who was really patient, because she modeled for us for three hours non stop. I thought that this was a good assignment to save for last because it kind of incorporated almost every aspect of lighting and photography that we have learned this semester into one assignment. I also liked it because we kind of worked together as a class to get some pretty cool pictures and because we were all shooting during the same evening we got to see how other people handle the situation and can learn from what worked well for them.
Most of the photos that I shot utilize three lights to really give some nice lighting to the model. When I was shooting this assignment I was kind of thinking of the movie Titanic and how I could try to capture some of the elegance captured in the movie. I think that I was successful at capturing this elegance. I guess that the only things that I had trouble with in completing this assignment is the fact that I have really no idea of how to pose a model for pictures, it just so happened that Heather was able to hit the right poses to get what I envisioned in my head without much direction.
